About The Event
The United Nations Association of Broward County Chapter (UNA Broward) will host a Coffee Chat in celebration of Women's History Month on Wednesday, March 22 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the women and girls championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. During the Coffee Chat we will explore the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities. The proceeds of the event will be used towards UNA Broward outreach efforts and programming educating about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which includes food security, gender equality, and climate change.
The National Women’s History Alliance, which spearheaded the movement for March being declared National Women’s History Month, has announced the women’s history theme for 2023, “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
Throughout 2023, the NWHA will encourage recognition of women, past and present, who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print, radio, TV, stage, screen, blogs, podcasts, and more. The timely theme honors women in every community who have devoted their lives and talents to producing art, pursuing truth, and reflecting the human condition decade after decade.
The United Nations Observance of International Women's Day (IWD) recognizes and celebrates the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. IWD 2023 will explore the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities.
