UNA Broward showed up for Lauderhill Peace 365

Updated: Jul 4, 2024

On Saturday, June 29th the Lauderhill Health and Prosperity Partnership hosted the Walk for Peace and Resource Fair to make this matter a personal commitment in our daily lives. A movement spearheaded by Commissioner Melissa Dunn. The idea is to have every Broward County resident, business owner, and city worker pledge to promote peace and kindness every day.

Over the decades, the United Nations has helped to end numerous conflicts, often through actions of the Security Council — the organ with primary responsibility, under the United Nations Charter, for the maintenance of international peace and security.

However, peace starts with you. Every human on earth—even the most indifferent, laziest person among us—is part of the solution. Fortunately, there are some super easy things we can adopt into our routines that, if we all do it, will make a big difference.

Have a look at The Lazy Person’s Guide to Saving the World. Click here for a PDF download of some of the actions.
